RISK takes over 50 at-risk teen girls on the journey of a lifetime. This intimate look into the lives of teen girls in the heart of America is often breath-taking, painful and truly inspiring.
We meet the girls at age 11-14yrs old as they join a film summer camp created by Tara Veneruso in the middle of America. We meet the girls again years later after they've left their childhood behind. From teen pregnancy to the darkest topics facing teens today, Veneruso goes in-depth to uncover the often brutal realities faced by teens today.

Shot in Joshua Tree, California, and antique Pioneertown where John Wayne shot many westerns. Some footage was shot in Malibu Beach and around Hollywood, Califonira.
